She grew up in Brazil and learned to make these sweet confections from her mom. She started out helping in the kitchen and soon realized she could make them on her own and make a little money for herself on the side. Easter was a big holiday for her chocolate-making skills. While she didn't intend to be making them professionally all along, her passion has evolved into a wonderful profession. In Brazil, Giseli had gone through medical school and was doing what she loved. When she met her husband and moved to the Sates, she taught women's health for quite a while until so many people loved her chocolates that she gave up her teaching position and started devoting her free time to chocolate.
I really hope to see many more of her chocolates at weddings I photograph and I can just imagine the beautiful displays that can be created with hundreds of these gorgeous brigadeiros.
