Venue History

The resort is the vision of Douglas Ayres, who, as a keen observer of global cultures and traditions, spent 13 years exploring the landscapes and vineyards of Paso Robles before discovering the 20 magnificent acres in East Paso Robles that would become the Allegretto.

Populated with art and artifacts from his travels throughout South America, Asia, Europe and beyond, Allegretto Vineyard Resort is Doug’s most personal project yet.

Ceremony/Reception Locations

Other Considerations

Allegretto offers everything you could need for your wedding. Room rentals are available for anyone who would like one. The venue features fountains, water features, statues, art from all over the world, a pool, gardens, a vineyard, rolling hills and beautifully landscaped grounds.

One unique feature is the Sonic Labyrinth, which provides guests a tranquil space with a distinctive series of sounds created by wind instruments. Activated by motion sensors, the Sound Circle creates a series of soft, soothing tones that evolve as one walks through the labyrinth, cultivating a sense of relaxation and focus, while an intentional central null space creates an added sense of grounding.

Guests can enjoy wine tasting in the hotel's tasting room or a day at the spa. Spa treatments are currently by appointment only. The spa offers a Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, warm stone massage, prenatal massage, mineral wrap and message, reflexology and a salt scrub.

What brides have to say...

"I reached out to Allegretto only 6 weeks before my planned date to have a wedding ceremony + dinner for a small group of 20 people. I worked with Annika Moe at Allegretto - whom I highly recommend! - and she made every detail of our big day SO easy."

"We knew from our previous wonderful stays that Allegretto was where we wanted to be married. We knew it would be tough as we lived out of town and were planning the whole thing in 2 months but Annika made it all so easy and our day was everything we would have imagined. Annika and her team went above and beyond for us and really put some amazing special touches on our day. Allegretto is such an amazing resort that we visit regularly and the beautiful grounds and amazing staff made our wedding everything we could have wanted! I can not say enough good things about the resort and their staff!"
