Higuera Ranch is the type of venue that really has it all. This is the place where you can stay for the weekend or move in for three weeks and still want more! It's minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo and with easy access to the freeway, you won't miss out on a thing. However, you won't want to leave the ranch. With 80 acres to explore, a heated spa, full sized pool complete with a water slide and the best weather in the country, you might just stay forever!
RELAX, ENJOY, DREAM
Three homes on the property are available to rent for the weekend and according to their website, they are rarely rented separately. Each rental appears to include a welcome dinner, celebration arrangements, social hour, dinner and dancing, a farewell brunch and a guys and glam area.
While they do offer weekday specials for smaller events and meeting, the weekends are where it's really at. The ranch has a three day minimum booking for weekend events. This is great because it means your wedding will be the only wedding that weekend and you won't feel rushed when another wedding couple shows up early for their wedding...awkward! That won't happen here.
Relax in the hot tub while enjoying your favorite glass of wine. Or take a dip in the pool to cool off during our hot summer months with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the weekend. The possibilities are really endless and with the secluded location, your privacy will always be preserved.
The three day minimum means you will be looking at a minimum of $7500 for your wedding weekend, but you can expect additional fees. Higher guest counts, use of additional spaces, equipment rentals and peak times or holidays will add a bit to the cost.
Most couples choose to exchange vows either on the large lawn facing the barn or under the majestic Higuera Tree, but I would imagine almost any spot on the ranch would be available if you have something else in mind. The large private patio is wonderful for an outdoor reception and the interior of the barn is perfect for an indoor reception. If you have the reception in the barn, the large bard doors can easily open up onto the lighted patio for an expansive dance floor.
From what I've seen out at the ranch, things are pretty relaxed and couples are happy. Couples seem to have a lot of options when it comes to how they want their wedding and the owners seem very happy to accommodate any reasonable request. It's one of my favorite venues to photograph at!
Of course one of the greatest assets you can have for your wedding is the right group of vendors. Thankfully, San Luis Obispo County is one of the best areas for this! Wedding vendors here have so much fun together and we even have events just for the vendors.
Higuera Ranch does not appear to have limitations on the vendors that you have, but they do have a preferred vendor list available upon request.
From the venue...
"Our favorite part of the ranch is the memories made over coffee in the homes and laughter in the pool. The wedding party becomes a family!"
